Not all aftermarket exhausts are really capable of producing more horsepower. All will increase sound, but more noise doesn't necessarily mean more power. The best way for any exhaust system to help an engine is to make it easier for the exhaust gasses to escape. The measurement of this ability, the flow of the pipes, can be accurately measured on a high-velocity flow bench. When subjected to flow bench testing, RevTech® exhaust systems out flowed Original Equipment staggared duals by 87% and Drag Specialties 'Pythons' by 41%. This translates to a significant increase in horsepower. Also, this outstanding horsepower gain builds much more evenly than typical aftermarket staggered duals, and continues to climb from 3500rpm through 6000rpm.
